As reported by CNET and announced by Apple in a press release today, Apple is releasing a new iPhone SE. It essentially packs all the power of an iPhone 11 into the slightly updated body of an iPhone 8. Like the 8, it will a 4.7-inch screen, a single rear-facing camera, and will unlock with TouchID rather than FaceID. This makes this the newest, and really only, iPhone sold by Apple to still use TouchID over FaceID. I still know many people that prefer it over FaceID, so if you’re one of those people this is worth looking into.
It comes in 3 colors: black, white, and red supporting Project Red. It also comes in 3 storage configurations, the default 64 gigs, the middle 128 gigs, and a 256 gig option, priced at $399, $449, and $549 respectively. You can preorder the phone starting Friday April 17, and they should start arriving on April 24th.
If you’re looking for a budget friendly iPhone, something smaller to use, or still want TouchID, this might just be the phone for you. Are you buying one? Let us know on social and in the comments
